Tutorial: Syncing your MPC to Pro Tools(8)

Hey everybody, thought I’d post a this tutorial about how to sync your MPC to Pro Tools. I love hardware, however, 1 of the main reasons why many people shy away from standalone devices and external sequencers in recent years is frustration of transferring your tracks/drums wtv from your external sequencer to your daw of choice. I’ve looked thru a lot of video’s on youtube on this topic and found there to be a gap so I thought I’d fill you in on how I do things and save the world some time! This isn’t the most in depth explanation, however, it touches on some of the most important steps to take with this process. Forgive my crappy camera work. Please leave some feedback and let me know your thoughts, you can always hit me up at blog@kneticblog.com . Hope this helps somebody out there and I apologize for the delay this was supposed to be up yesterday, however, iMovie decided that wasn’t any option. Enough talking. Enjoy!!

Saigon released from Atlantic Records, Rule #1 in music!! GET A LAWYER!

Good to see that we might finally get a Saigon album in the near future. Peep the video, sad to see that record labels are still leaching the creativity out of a lot of artists. RULE #1 in this music biz, be sure you get your OWN lawyer when before signing your life away. And when I say your “own” lawyer, I mean one that record label hasn’t provided for you. $400/hour might seem insane when you have no $ but it’ll save your artistry from being SHELVED by the label!!  Take note people!  Hope Saigon cheers up, dude looks pretty depressed in this one!

RJD2/// wireless with the MPC…if i only had the time.

Hey check out this really unique video of producer RJD2 discussing his self made wireless setup for the tour that he’s on right now. Really great to see that he did all of this himself, the time and effort alone should be applaued. This might seem like overkill a bit but the concept is completely practical so check it out.

why 45 really is KING.

Ok so just watch this interview, I’m not really writing too much this time. Basically Jay-Z breaks down how “Hard Knock Life” came to be. 45 King—–>CLASSIC PRODUCER…Classics and only classics. I’ll let Mr.HOV explain. All you so called hip-hop lovers should know this man’s name. I’m sure we’d all pass 45 King on the street, his M.I.Aness just makes his career all the more interesting. Check IT!!!
