Sorry y’all took a little vacation last week, really needed to rest up, summertime is on the way and I’m in no mood to get springtime sick. Feelin good, thought I’d post these two amazing videos of Bernard Purdie aka Pretty.
For those unfamiliar, Mr. Purdie is considered to be the world’s most recorded drummer and whether you realize it or not you’ve heard him play. Either through his thousands of recordings or by the influence his style and feel has had on sooooo many drummers today. Check him explaining how he has made an impact with ghost notes and 16 note shuffle, this guy is just a machine, just insane how steady and incredible his sense of time is. I need me some drum lessons.
